I am 27yrs old recently married. I am investing in mutual funds through SIP – 2000 in HDFC prudence fund, 1000 in IDFC premier equity A, 500 in HDFC Gold fund, 1000 in HDFC Top 200, 500 in HDFC balanced Fund. Is my allocation mix correct, i want to invest further 1000/month in ICICI pru discovery / ICICI pru focused bluechip fund, which would be better for my portfolio. I am going long term in this portfolio to save for retirement. To balance my investment i also have some ULIP in Income fund from ICICI and Debt fund from Canara HSBC along with some FD / RD. I also have term insurance/ Accidental policy to cover me. Is my investment stratergy OK. Please advise would be very helpful.
