I claimed my housing loan exemption from Apr 2013-Dec 2013 and no HRA. Then switched to another company in december and closed my loan and registered the flat in my mom\’s name. Now I want to claim HRA but my new employer rejeccted my housing loan exemption claimed with my previous employer saying I cannot claim both HRA and housing loan exemption for the same year unless I stay in another city
now, because of housing loan rejection which i claimed with my previous employment, I will have to pay more unnecessary taxes !!!
any suggestions?
