HDFC Credit Card representative tried to sell my accidental insurance by misleading me

I am a credit card customer of HDFC Bank. I have received a call from HDFC office on 18th/10/20014 regarding accidental insurance. The representative (a lady) told me that I have to purchase an insurance from your company which is compulsory for credit card holders. She told me that the money will be on EMI basis and will be refunded after 2 years. And so I said, if it is mandatory, I will work for it. After that I took a verification call. I asked her again “Is it mandatory”. She told me “Please don’t spell mandatory ward, the call is under recording”. Then I finally agreed. Next, I received a call from the insurance company.

He asked “are you managing this on your choice”. I told him that “is it mandatory to do so”. He told me “no”. I stated “please don’t issue”. After a while I got another call where a lady asked me why I have declined and told me “it is compulsory”. She repeated that I will get back the premium money after 2 years if no claim has been made.

She told me even though I will not opt for this insurance money will be charged to my credit card. I reluctantly agreed. Next I received another call where a lady asked like a lawyer in a courtroom. I corresponded to all her points.  On the evening of the same day I investigated and found that nothing is needed.
