Working in Singapore but getting Income in India – Will I have to pay tax ?

HI,

I recently moved to Singapore on project work. During my stay in Singapore , I get my salary deposited in my S/B account in INDIA and for my stay in Singapore.

So basically I do not earn anything in Singapore. Now that since I qualified as  NRI, should I be exempted from Income Tax  for the amount that was deposited in S/B as salary ? If yes, how should I proceed further ?

Dear Kumar, as you are getting salary from your Indian employer in an Indian account, you are earning a taxable salary. Only an actual Singaporean income ‘ll be tax free.

    Thanks

    Ashal
