I found a website http://www.quantumamc.com/ which sells the mutual fund directly with out any broker in between. Is this fund safe and is it controlled by the government similar to other standard mutual funds ?
Why can’t we buy this fund using ICICI direct account ?

If you can spare little bit extra time to manage your portfolio on your own i’ll recommend to purchase MF from fund houses directly using Direct option or from Quantam which has only direct option 🙂

Hello all,
FYI, Quantum is the AMC where you no need any paper work and you can directly open account and start investing on AMC website. Best thing it has the cheapest MF charges and outstanding performance since last few years ( QLTEF).
I do have my investment directly with them from abroad and believe me, not a single paper i have submitted to them, providing your KYC is already clear.

Adding to what Ashal said, please avoid buying mutual funds from demat account as they will charge you some money for every transaction. You can avoid this by investing directly with AMC or broker.

They charge Rs 30/- per transaction, but its worth buying it from your home .. you can avoid all paper work , cheque book …

As I research the other MF research web sites for the above plans, I didn’t find much difference in terms of the performance.
However, if there is any specific parameter which ive missed, pls let me know.
Any better MF pls suggest
