Why banks support only particular Credit card payments online on their website ?

Hi,

I am normally using ICICI Credit card – that is Master Card. Recently started using SBI Maxgain Home loan linked account. From this account payment to only VISA cards is possible as per SBI. Why this is so and is there any solution ? I asked online to SBI, but they are not answering.

Thanks.

    Dear Mr. Hadani,

This could be the bank’s policy of dealing with certain type of credit cards only.

    Dear Mr. Hadani,

Each bank determines what card you can use. In case you wish to use another card you will have to do it through some other account.

      Dear Sir,

I understood the point. Surprisingly biggest Bank of India like SBI is not supporting Master Card CC payments !! What may be the logic ?

      Thanks.

Dear Paresh, why are you not able to pay the bill using Card’s netbanking facility. I’m paying my HDFC CC bill from my own MG account.

    thanks

    1. Paresh Hadani says:

      Dear Ashal,

I could see that SBI MG supports only Visa CC payments and not Mater Card. Your HDFC CC would be Visa one.

      Thanks.
