Can anybody (including the person applying) sign the verification box of the Form 15G or does it have to be a bank official, gazetted officer,..? Thanks.

  2. Dear Sanjay, in both places, the FD holder w’d have to sign.

It is for an FD with Sundaram Finance, there is a box at the end saying :

    Verification

“I/We ………… do hereby declare to the best of my/our knowledge and belief is correct complete and is truly stated. Verified today the …………day of …………20 ….”

followed by Place: ….and Signature of declarant…….

Before this box, there is already a place for Signature of declarant following the Schedule details

So does this mean that the FD holder signs in both places or does the verification statement have to be sign by somebody else or some authority?

Forgive me if this is a stupid question. 🙂

  4. Dear Sanjay, can you elaborate more on this verification thing? As long as I know, we fill the details, provide the copy of PAN card along with the form 15 – G/H & submit the same to bank. where is the question of verification?

    Thanks

    Ashal
