Which is better for car insurance – Govt run or Private companies ?

Hi friends , this is Manish Chauhan here ! . Glad to take help from our own forum here 🙂

I have my car insurance from National Insurance from last 1 yr (Alto , 2nd hand) . My premium was around Rs 5,500 . I also used the insurance to replace my Windshield, which was done without any problems , so in a way I recovered the money paid as premium 🙂

Now its time for renewal and I am just wondering , what are the dynamics of car insurance ? Are pvt companies better or govt run companies only (may be they do not make a lot of fuss) .

So just wanted to know opinions of fellow members here 🙂

    I have Car Insurance from National Insurance and I didn’t had any problem during my claim last year.

    Dear Manish, last year, just 10 days before I left India, My car met with an accident and my insurer settled the claim within a week. Although cheque came to me after I left India. In my case it was IFFCO Tokio General Insurance. My personal take, if claims are genuine, all are same be it PSU or Pvt.
