which documents are required at the time of maturity of mis (post office) account for senior citizens?

    None if you are going personally, you have to fill an A/c closure form and carry an id proof preferably which can be used if asked.
    If however someone else other than the holder is going what is also required is an authority letter duly signed by the holder and the person whom the authority is given and the account closure form.
