ONHi,
I have surplus funds sitting in savings accounts. Where will it be best to put that into – an FD or debt or equity fund? I already have significant number of FDs. If I go for SIP route to invest in equity. It will take much longer to invest. Pls suggest how and where to invest this money? I fall into 30% tax bracket.

Thank you all. Your suggestions are much appreciated.
Dear Upender, you may park in liquid funds of same AMCs where you are investing in Eq. funds.
Thanks
Ashal

You can invest in a liquid fund of an AMC where you have already have your investments in equity funds, so that in future if you wish to start an STP to equity funds, you can do it easily.

Alternatively u can have Liquid and then STP at specific Triggers in to equity SIP which may give u good gain.
Thanks! Any suggestions for a good Liquid fund.
You can park your surplus funds in Liquid Mutual Funds which has very high liquidity and returns almost similar to an FD.
Any time is good time. Nobody can time the market, SIP is good when one don’t have surplus cash.
