Where to invest lumpsum amount for short period ?

Hi,

I have lumpsum amount of 5 lakhs but not sure where to invest for 1-2 years. Since later I’m planning to use this amount for Home purchase.

Kindly suggest where I will get return more than FD, currently I can see only FD option. Expecting more return than FD for new investment.

    I would go for balanced funds

      What he meant is “If you dont mind taking the risk then go for equity funds.” Since you need this money after 1-2 years for the down payment, its better to be safe by investing in FD and you can sleep properly at night. Had this request been for a longer duration like 10+ years you would have got the response as “Invest in Equity MFs” 🙂

    If you can loose the money, then u can invest in equity funds….
