Where can I buy PFC, NHAI and NHPC tax free govt bonds ?

How wise is it to invest in tax free govt bonds like PFC, NHAI, NHPC etc. where can i actually buy these? does state bank of india or other banks deal with these instruments?

please tell me the procedure

    1.You can contact any local financial consultancy, they can help you. (But they should not charge you anything at all for this, you should only pay them the cheque amount for the money you want to invest)
    2.If you have local Karvy office, you can buy directly from there.
    3.If you have a dmat a/c, you can buy the bonds directly in dmat format also.

    Initially, I used to do it by #1. Then was doing it through #2 & after I got my dmat a/c, buying them in dmat format.
