What if I do not have salary account? My salary is paid by cheque.

My SBI loan is sanctioned & now I want to go for documentation. From which account do I have to give the ECS from. Can I give ECS from any bank account? Or is it necessary to give it from salary account only.

    open an account in SBI itself and instruct them to deduct from there. You would need to ensure some minimum sum (say two emis) is always available as balance for safety,

    You could also opt for ECS from your bank itself.
