Want to pursue CFA through ICFAI, How useful is it?

Dear All,

This is in my mind from long time…. does a degree in CFA from ICFAI (Distant learning) will be of any help in understanding the course and further applying the knowledge??

Do you know any other courses where in i can get the same flavour.

To let you know, i am from an Engineering background with little Economics or Commerce knowledge.

Thanks for your views.

if you have financial background you can do CFA ( the original) on your own as well…guess it has 3 levels , you can get study material online and prepare. To give exams previously it was required to go somwhere out of india but now i guess CFA happens in india too…but mind you its a tough nut to crack 😉

Thanks Ashal for quick answer, i need a suggestion (apart from ICFAI) is there any course or institute where in i can enroll and get value education?.
I stay in Pune, incase if you are aware of any such institutions over here, it will be of great help for me.

    1. Dear Sunil, please check http://www.fpsbindia.org for CFP course, if you are interested.

      Thanks

      Ashal

  4. Dear Sunil, enroll yourself in ICFAI at your own risk. The course is a copy cat of original CFA from US of A. I can not comment more on this. Please contact some existing & pass out students of ICFAI & decide on the basis if feedback to you.

    Thanks

    Ashal
