Considering you would be in 10% tax bracket, for you investing in Fixed Deposits may be a better solution from safety and tax perspective. Two years FDs could give you around 9.5% return. You could also venture into a debt fund like IDFC Dynamic Bond Fund for 2-3 year outlook – I expect them to give around similar to slightly better return of 10%.
