Hello Manish,
I left my previous company on 1st April 2014 and joined new company on 7th April 2014. Now problem is I have been alloted UAN no. from both employer. I want to withdraw whole amount of EPF of previous employer.
So kindly guide me what to do in this situation?

Hello Manish. I left my previous company in Sept-16 with having some UAN no. Now My new organization again allotted me new UAN no. So now i have 2 UAN no and both are active. Recently today i have update KYC i.e. aadhar,PAN (same in both UAN) and Bank details(different in both UAN). It is possible to transfer old UAN amount to new one and how? Same KYC can be a issue ?
Please note No gap in both employment, New UAN generated in Sept-16.

Yes you can transfer your money from old account to new one by merging both the accounts. KYC will not be the issue.

You need to check for this with EPF department itself. We are not sure of the process

What is the method that implies on me in order to withdraw PF.
Also I got my first salary from my current company and the PF amount deducted is showing as “dummy” as I’ve not provided the UAN.
So what will happen this case.
All you need to do is fill the EPF withdrawal forms and mention the details of your first EPF . However note that its not legal to withdraw EPF while you are in employment !

I had a UAN number form my previous employer. I resigned there in Dec 2016 and joined new company in Jan 2017.
When I gave them my UAN number created by previous employer, I was told that it is inactive (I can still log in online and check all details) and they were not able to map a new PF account with it.
Hence my current employer generated a new UAN for me.
Now, while creating the new UAN, they gave my mobile number which is already registered with the previous UAN.
I am not sure how they were able to create a new UAN using the already registered number , but they did it somehow.
Now, I am not able to access my new UAN. To login, i need to generate a password. When i go to “forgot password”, my mobile number id displayed as 0.
The current employer has shared the screenshot in which they have given my current mobile number.
I have no clues regarding what is happening with my new UAN.
As per employer, PF is getting deposited into it, but I caanot check details. I do not get any messages either.
I am not even sure if the employer is depositing money into it or not.
Please help me. I am very tensed.
You can just do a RTI enquiry about the balance in your account and on which date employer deposited the money, and you will get all the details.
For the first UAN account change you mobile number(if you have secondary number). Then for the New (second ) UAN put the your Primary phone number and register it. you will be able to see the current employers transactions.

I had an UAN number from my previous employer (old company). I worked for more than 4 years there. When joined new company, I applied for PF transfer. With the help of my finance & Account department colleagues and their guidance, the approval for PF transfer was done from their end. But when contacted the respective staff of my old employer/Company, they said they didn’t get any intimation regarding the pf transfer and hence it never went approved from their end.
Later I got to know that, my current company had updated my DOB and DOJ wrong and due to that I have got the new UAN number.
So I activated this new UAN with my new phone number (As One phone number can be registered with one UAN only and my regular/old number is already registered for the old UAN). Now I am finding it difficult to update my KYC details for the new UAN. There is always some error popping up when tried to update my Adhaar and PAN details. Is it because the same Adhaar and Pan details were given for my OLD UAN KYC?
Next issue what I am facing is – whether my old PF is transferred to my New account / NEW UAN or not?
I have an EPFO app installed in my phone. When tried to view the passbook by logging with OLD UAN – the status shown is “Settled/Not Updated”.
When tried to view the passbook by logging with new UAN and new number – then message is shown as “Invalid Credentials/Data Not Available”. Whereas, this new mobile is registered with new UAN. How can I confirm the new mobile is registered with new UAN? Because, when I login with new UAN and password in unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/ site – I am able to login and when check my contact details or My Profile – then the new number is updated over there.
Also, I tried to check my PF balance from both of my mobile numbers by sending message as EPFOHO UAN ENG to 100718194018
When sent the above message from old/regular number i.e OLD UAN registered number – the message is received with all the details along with Total Contribution shown as 0. Does this mean my Old PF is transferred to my current company’s account?
Whereas, when sent the message from my new number i.e. NEW UAN registered number – the message received is “No UAN is activated with this mobile number. Kindly activate your UAN to avail EPFO SMS services”.
Tried approaching my Current company’s respective staff for the details – but they could not help out as even they looked confused or ask me only to keep trying or Google it.
Please, help me getting out from this mess. And what exactly is the status for my OLD PF / UAN and new UAN.
Please help me out what exactly is going on?
1. Why is it showing as invalid credentials for my new UAN when tried to login in the app to view my passbook?
2. For my first UAN why is the status shown as “Settled/Not updated” when tried to login in the app to view passbook? What does this status mean?
3. And is my PF transferred to new account?
4. If my PF is transferred to new current company’s account – how did it happen when my old employer has not received any intimation or neither was approved by them?
5. And why am I facing the difficulty to update my KYC details for my new UAN?

I am having a tough time . Please help me Sir. I had an UAN for the last four years of my career and all the old PF accounts were linked to it. 6 months back I joined a new company that created a separate UAN with new PF account. They also did not initiate the transfer of my PF balance from old UAN to the new .
Now due to some emergency , I had to quit the company . On a new firm I am joining , they asked me the recentmost previous UAN number . So I had to give the UAN my last company created for me that did not have the last 4 years of PF balance.
Now what can I do ? Please help.
Obviously, this new firm is again going to create a separate PF account and probably will link it to the last newly created UAN. But all my major PF savings is on my old UAN.

you can connect two UANs online or with the help of your employer so only the recent one will be active and the old will be deactivated automatically so that all your claims can be done with your new account itself

You can surely refuse to give your UAN and say that you have none. But I am not clear if they will be able to find out about your past employment or not at this point of time. WIll have to find out more on this .

At present, I am not working and need to withdraw my PF and pension amount fully without going to that company as they are not helping in this matter. I’ve stared job only a week before as a Fresher. Now I’m leaving it and joining a new employer. I didn’t get any salary. I don’t know weather they created a PF account or not but they mentioned they’ll start giving PF after 6 months of joining. I haven’t disclosed this to the new employer. scenario – I had worked in a company A in year 2014 end ( nov14 to jan 15). Pf was deducted from my salary. I never was aware of the UAN activation so i never activated my UAN. Later after further studies i am joining another company where i havent disclosed my short term prior employment. What should i do? Should i let them make another UAN and then activate this new UAN. I am not concerned about the 2 months pf deductions. I just want to know whether they can issue me a new UAN and everything will be as good as i have never worked before?

I need urgent advise. I have 2 UANs. Before i could share my previous UAN my current organisation has generated New UAN for me. So all y payslips are reflecting the new UAN number however i am unable to activate the new UAN as the old one is already active with my PAN number. I have also checked with payroll team and they have confirmed that As per PF department rule’s I need to active present Employers UAN number and register the same in the UAN portal. Post registration I can list my previous Employer PF details in the portal and intimate the PF transfer from previous Employer to present Employer to view the details of contribution in one-shot.
I am confused here on what exactly i need to do. I am unable to activate the new UAN as it is linked with my PAN. Also what will happen to the amount that is present in my old UAN will that get automatically transfer or i need to withdraw. Or i need to initiate the transfer online.
Can someone please help me urgently.

why don’t you use a different phone number to activate it?
Once a UAN is generated,it should be activated…

Technically yes, if you already have a UAN from employer 1 , and dont tell your employer 2 about it, then they will create another UAN

Details : My first company allotted a UAN to me. I left my first company on 26th Dec 2014 and joined second company. The second company opened a new UAN for me instead of using the existing one. And now I have joined third company in Nov 2015.
I want to transfer both of those PF accounts to my current PF account (i.e. third one ). But I am confused as I found that I have two different UAN accounts opened by those two last employers.
In my current company, I have given UAN allotted by my first company. If I login with the first UAN then I can see first and third employers PF accounts listed.

In Nilesh’s case, is it possible to withdraw the amount associated with the his second company. If yes then what should we write in the form ” Declaration from the unemployed”. I am facing the similar issue and i thought of withdrawing the amount but they have asked me to fill the above said form.

I have a similar problem where my prev employer had generated a UAN for me and i had also activated it.
When i switched my job i did nt provide any details of existing UAN due to lack of awareness about UAN significance and my new employer created new UAN for me.
Now i have ended up with 2 UAN’s and the newer one cant be activated on same registered mobile number.
What do i do? I have already initiated the PF xfer process which has been approved by both present n prev employers.
My active UAN has details of my past PF account only and current PF details wil be linked to new UAN which i am unable to activate.
Please help. Is it possible for me to use new mobile no of new UAN and link my prev PF accounts to it. (By the way my prev employers PF is already linked to older UaN)

You dont need to activate the new UAN , just use the old UAN only

In my case also, 2 UAN generated. But my previous UAN is already active i.e. online and my new employer has generated new UAN in this May 2015. Now I want to transfer my previous EPF amount to new acoount.
1) Can I transfer this amount?

That does not matter . What you need to do now is activate one of them . The one which you will activate is your actual URN .
I suggest that you activate the one which was given by your present or recent employer !

What about the amount credit by previous employer? How someone can claim that amount without activating UAN number (given by previous employer).
For that you apply for the manual withdrawal , dont transfer it !

I also have 2UAN and my second employer has made mistake in writing father’s name while applying for new UAN. So both are not getting linked. Also PF transfer /withdrawal not possbile
Or you can simply change your mobile number in previous UAN account to some other number..as you withdrew all the amount already that account is useless.
After changing the number in old UAN, try activating new UAN number..it will not show same message again..
