Term plans for NRIs

It is getting tougher than I had imagined to get a term cover in India for an NRI. I have already received email responses from a few companies like HDFC, ICICI, Reliance, Aegon Religare etc. saying they have no plans that can cover NRIs.

Are there any NRIs here who have successfully bought a term cover?

    Dear CP, An NRI can purchase a term plan during India visit but this ‘ll be on case to case to basis. One of my friend had purchased a plan from ICICI PRULIFE.
