ONI am looking for Term Insurance for Me(Working) and home maker wife. looking at cost i am interested in online term plan. I could see only Bajaj Finance has joint term plans online. Non working/home maker can not get more than >10 lath insurance independently. What are the options for insurance of >50 lakh for me and >25 lakh for my wife.

Dear Pune, if you are so sure of your requirement, please opt the cheaper term cover from the 2.
Thanks
Ashal
Thank you all for inputs but I am not looking for input on if homemaker need to be insured or for what amount. I am just looking for what are the options available for term plan for Homemaker for >25 lakh amount(single or joint life) What i searched is Bajaj Finnace offer online term plan for joint life. HDFC offfers only offline Joint term plan.
I agree term insurance is a way to offset income once you are gone. I feel you can either take a 10 L for your wife or may even leave it and take 35 L for your self instead
Dear Pune, If I rephrase the reply given above to you by dear Ashish it ‘ll be,
It’s raining outside. W’d you purchase an umbrella for yourself as you w’d have to go outside for your job or w’d you purchase it for your home maker wife also who may not need to go outside during rain?
Thanks
Ashal
Hi,
Why do you want to take insurance policy for your wife in first place?
Since she is a home maker, there is no financial dependence on her. In case she is planning to work in near future, makes sense. Else you should insure yourself adequately to provide financial security to your family, in case something happens to you.
