Hi ppl, l read in some links and i m planning like this. 50L pure term plan online without any riders(preferably AVIVA i-life)+ 50L term plan with all riders(yet to decide).

Can i do like this? Pls suggest.

    1. stay away from all riders. Splitting your policy should be need based and lifestyle based. If you are married and if your family is closed then you could just insure yourself for suitable amt with one insurer.

1 Crore is an approx figure which most people use without thinking. Many need much more insurance. If you have clear about your need great. If not if you have children you could use this to know your insurance sum needed.

Sorry to piggy bank on this question, but did not want to create a separate question –
Id somebody has a Endowement policy say the most popular Jeevan Anand, do we need to declare this one as well while we buy a Term Insurance Policy?

    1. Yes of course. Insurance is insurance irrespective of magnitude of sum assured.

  4. Dear Sateesh, easy way out – please read past discussions here in the forum & decide on your own which insurer is the best for you. Regarding Rider, only Waiver of Prem. is worthy of your money. CI or Accident riders are meaningless.

For a direct spoonfeed answer – following insurers are offering online term covers.
    Aegon Religare
    Aviva
    Bharti Axa
    Future Genrali
    HDFC
    ICICI Pru
    PNB Metlife
    SBI

Above is an indicative list only & not the order of preference.

    Thanks

    Ashal
