TAX CONDITION IN DEBT FUNDS

Hello,
Can NRI start investing in Debt funds. if Yes,I would like to Invest in Birla Sun Life 95 funds. what will be the tax implications for NRI for debt fund investments?

  1. Dear Jig, just an small correction in dear solnaki Jitendr’a reply the STCG from Birla 95 ‘ll be classified as STCG from Eq. fund & the rate ‘ll be 15.45%.

    Short term Gain 33.99%
    Long term gain 22.66%

    However Birla Sun life 95 is a balanced MF scheme and will attract taxation of equity.

    Short Term 11.22

    Long Term 0
