Stamp duty and registration charges for leave and license agreement registration in Pune

I would like to know how to calculate registration and stamp duty charges for registering leave and license agreement in Pune. Yearly Rent will be Rs 1,00,000 and Deposit Rs 30,000. Agreement term will be 11 months. Appreciate your help.

    Stamp duty is calculated as 0.25% of the total rent amount being considered for license period. This is a thumb rule with an accuracy of 97%.

    Hi Ashal, I have read contradictory. L & L agreement needs to be registered under section 55(1) of Maharastra Rent control act 1999 and under sec 55(2) it places responsibility on landlord. Unless, we know the tenant very well that he won’t create legal problems, it is advised to register the agreement.
