ONMostly for the sake of diversification, I am beginning to get interested in the ING Global Real Est. fund. Any views on this? As seen on moneycontrol, the returns are pretty good. I am ‘expecting/speculating’ the returns might take a hit over the next 2-3 yrs.
Currently I don’t see this listed on FundsIndia though. But I guess that would be the least of our worries for now.
Thanks.

Thanks Anshuk and Ashal for your views.
@Anshuk – The N100 has amazing holdings. But all in the US. Nonetheless, will do some more analysis before settling down with a suitable fund. A more global fund (like the ING Global…) appeals as a stronger, healthier fund.
Dear Vijay, if you want to play with this thing (global real estate) after knowing all the pros and cons. Do it at your own risk ‘ll be my call to you.
thanks
Ashal
Why only real estate? Go for something like Motilal’s n100. It covers Nasdaq. Lower expenses too.
Thanks Ashal for the reply. Yes, the currency fluctuation will certainly be something of a concern, but in term of real estate funds, it doesn’t look like we have much options in India? This (or something similar) will of course be part of a satellite portfolio and probably the only international fund in my list.
Dear Vijay, as the fund in question is a global fund, be ready for currency shock.
thanks
Ashal
