ONThis sector fund allocation is in good IT companies like Infy, Wpipro, mindtree,Persistant, Tech M. The fund has been performing excellently for past 5 years compared to benchmark and peers. Fund Manager has not changed for last 6 years.
Although sector fund selection is always cautioned, looking at current scenario, would you recommend to invest in this fund for next 5 years investment horizon?

If you want maximum exposure to IT, but also not comfortable with a complete IT sector fund then ‘ICICI Prudential Exports and Other Services Fund’ could be a better option, which predominantly invests in export oriented sectors companies –> IT – 40%, Pharma 40%. You can have a look, and do your own research before investing.
Thanks

Dear Tonsi, it’s your personal call to ride a sectoral fund.
Thanks
Ashal
IT funds should be performing good for next couple of years, but you know the risk associated with any sector fund. So, you have to monitor it more actively , and do periodic profit booking to maximize opportunities.
SBI IT fund does not have any exit load.
