Should I buy top up health insurance with Group cover, or separate Health Insurance itself !

Hi All,

I’m part of a group health insurance from our organization for me and my dependents. We do not have any other health insurance as of now, I’m planning to buy a health insurance policy for my family in this year.

And In between, Our group health insurer offered topup policy on the group insurance, Is it worth buying this topup or better to invest in separate health insurance policy for the family, please suggest.

    thanks Anil. I’m planning to take up a helath insurance in this year. And just wanted to know, if it is worth buying topup for group insurance?

    Most of the firms offer group insurance cover to their employees. If you switch / leave your job , you and your Dependants will be with out cover . If for some reasons you are with out cover , getting a new health policy in mid / old age is difficult.
