Short term investment , confused ??

Hell Manish and frds 

First of all I thank to Jago investor Site, Manish and Ashal who helped to design saving plans

Now i had planned to invest 12000/yr for short term like 5 or 10 yrs. horizon (for tax benefits)

i went through Google , JI forum and even some blog .. It make me completely confused me and too many policy available but I wonder where to invest:

So any other plan which give better returns. (Except FD and RD)

    Dear Jeetu, 12000 Rs. mly means 1.44L Rs. where as the limit of 80C tax saving investments is only 1L Rs. so where are you planning to invest remaining 44K Rs. Interestingly even your 80C is already having some other investments like PF, PPF, Insurance prem.

    Please clarify the actual situation.

    Let me cleat my question . i like to invest 1000rs/ month in short term plan like 3, 5 or 10 yrs for tax saving.

    Like Zion suggested to invest In dept fund like PPF and FD .

    Is any other option available except PPF ,FD , RD .. ( ELSS is subject to market risk so i will avoid for a while )

    Your question is confusing

    What is the term of the investment is it 5 or 10 years.

    If 5 stick with optimal equity to debt level .For a 10 year you can load heavy on equity.

    If the intention is to save tax under 80c

    for equity best way is to invest in ELSS MF
    for debt best way is PPF(15 years lock) or FD (5 years lock)

    As you are looking for tax saving and you are not going to invest anything in lumpsum better to prefer Debt funds like SBI Dynamic, HDFC MIP LIP, etc.
