SBI platinum credit card along with Max gain – Is it mandatory ?

Hi,

I took home loan fro SBI (Max Gain). I have been asked to take a property insurance which needs to be paid during registration. But along with that, SBI platinum credit card is also made filed. Is it mandatory to go for SBI platinum card alog with SBI max gain?

    Dear Sub,

    Whilst the SBI property insurance is mandatory, purchasing the same from SBI Life insurance/SBI general insurance is not mandatory. The bank will also provide you a Cheque Book/ATM-cum-Debit Card/Net Banking facility.

    You should opt for the credit card only if you have a genuine need to own one.
