K Balaji
Hi Ashal
whenever it comes to MF u always suggest quantum for long term.
i have gone through the website in the below 3 are there in equity in that which one u feel one should invest
Quantum Long Term Equity Fund – Dividend Option ,
Quantum Long Term Equity Fund – Reinvestment Option
Quantum Long Term Equity Fund – Growth Option
K Balaji
Dear K Balaji, first a disclosure –
I’m investing my personal money in Quantum Long Term Eq. fund. My paid financial planning services clients are also investing in this fund.
Now the answer to your query.
Please invest in Growth option to create a long term wealth.
Just to update you – till date since it’s inception, the dividend option has not declare any dividend i.e. almost 6.5Y (counting from Mar 2006).
Thanks
Ashal
Dear Ragavan, Please invest 5K Rs. in Quantum Liquid fund & then do mly STP of 1K Rs. into Quantum Long Term Eq. fund. Later on as & when you are confident enough, you may increase the STP amount from 1K to 1.5K or 2K. In between you w’d have to invest only in the liquid fund. The liquid fund ‘ll earn you a bit higher return than your SB account.
Thanks
Ashal
Ashal
Is it worth doing the STP from liquid fund considering the overhead of calculating the STCG or am i missing something?
Dear TheZionView, even after calculating & paying STCG on Liquid funds, the net return from liquid funds ‘ll be higher than SB account.
Thanks
Ashal
Ashal,
I am not questioning the returns i am just asking for a small sip like 1000 doing a STP from liquid fund and then calculating the STCG on all 12 withdrawals during the year and filling the return accordingly is it worth for this small amount. I can understand this works well if its a lumpsum amount?
Dear TheZionView, Please read again the primary query of dear Ragavan, initially he is testing the waters with a 1000 Rs. mly amount & later on ‘ll increase the investment. Also small drops make an Ocean, so these small earnings from Liquid funds ‘ll play a big role later in terms of final return generated on the money invested in.
Thanks
Ashal
