After reading various articles on financial planning, I came to conclusion that atleast 10% of our portfolio should be in Gold. And also observing the Gold Chart, it seems my conclusion is right.
Better have a eGold demat account from NSEL. Gold fund charge twice. One gold fund charge and then they investt it in their gold own etf and this charge is generally hidden. Yes 10% gold investment is not bad.
Dear R Siva, why do you want to invest in Gold funds at all? Is it for the sake of herd mentality – everyone else is investing so do I or is it for your personal calculated choice?
Any time is the right time for starting SIP, providing you continue it long term
Hi Ashal,
After reading various articles on financial planning, I came to conclusion that atleast 10% of our portfolio should be in Gold. And also observing the Gold Chart, it seems my conclusion is right.
That means only for investment purpose.
Thank You

Dear Rsiva, if you are sure of your calculations & research my take ‘ll be to either go for E-gold from NSEL or Gold ETF in your demat account.
Thanks
Ashal
