Review of BSL FrontLine Equity Fund

I recently came across BSL Frontline Equity fund, I did not hear about this fund before. I am looking to choose 2 large caps funds for long term goal. I am already invested in ICICI Pru Focussed & I am looking to choose the 2nd one. Will this BSL FrontLine Equity fit my portfolio? If not, any other fund can anyone suggest? I found a review of the same fund in this forum, but that was way back in 2009 (https://www.jagoinvestor.com/2009/05/short-review-of-few-mutual-funds.html), so asking a fresh question here.

    Dear Mustafizur, based upon your findings for the 2 funds, are you really diversified between these 2 funds while having so many common stocks although with different %age allocation?

    Dear Ashalanshu,
    Both the funds have top 2 sectors as Tech, Banking & third one being Automative vs. Energy. In top 5 company holdings
    BSL- ICICI, Infosys, ITC,Reliance, HFC
    ICICI Pru- HDFC, Infy, ICICI, ITC, Kotak Bank. But these allocations keep changing from time to time, so I did not get what you were asking, not sure how I can use these info..

    Dear Mustafizur, OK. Let’s do a small home work. Please ceck the underlying portfolio of both funds and compare the stock holdings in each fund. See the same stocks and different stocks and tell me the result of yourhome work.

    Thanks Ashalanshu. As it is for long term goal, so I was thinking 2 large caps would be a safer choice than just putting all investment in 1 large fund.
