Renew Star Health Red Carpet Policy or Shift to other providers?

POSTED BY finnaive ON June 28, 2013 7:10 am COMMENTS (2)

Hi

My father is 64 years old, and I have been having the Senior Citizen Red Carpet policy for him for the last 3 years from Star health. With the 3 years, all the exclusions are gone. Now the policy is due for renewal.

Should I just continue with Star Health policy or shift to a better provider for his health insurance needs?

Thanks

    Dear finnaive

First thing, Dont try for a portability at this age.

Second. go for a 3 lac basic policy by religare care or royal sundaram

Third , Buy a topup policy of 3 lac deductible.

    Dear Mr Mahavir
    Thanks for your reply.

My father has been doing good. He dooes not have any major medical history (touchwood) and we didnt claim anything in 3 years to Star health.

Which Policy would you suggest? if I take a new policy from a different provider, will the exclusions apply? or can I port the currrent policy to a new provider.

    Thanks
