ONDoes anyone have any idea regarding registration of home mortgage agreement vide Maharashtra Act No X of 2012 Section 89B?
As per bank, the mortgagor has to do it within 30 days of loan agreement and involves the following cost,
1) Challan for payment of Rs. 1000
2) Handling charges of Rs. 300 (in cash)
Has anyone done this lately and can share the procedure involved?
What is the basis for the challan amount? Is it some percentage of loan amount?
What is handling charges in cash?

Dear Raja, sorry, I can not help beyond this point as I’m not in Maharashtra. Better to take help of your bank staff as day in day out these people are handling loans and thus such queries. 🙂

Looks similar, but I’m looking for information from someone who has actually registered their loan agreement. Paying online via GRAS is fine. What is the procedure after that
