ONHi, I have bought a new villa from a builder in Bangalore. The deal includes the land and construction thereon. My villa plans have been approved and is in the final stages of completion. My builder is asking me to register the land and not the entire villa which will save me a substantial amount in tax. He says this is common practice. Although he also gives me the choice of registering the entire villa if I want. Can somebody tell me what is the difference between the two?

I just want to know is that possible .. land registration
Yes, it is possible if the land owner cooperates !
Dear Vijay, you may register only Land but make sure to receive the receipts of all the payments made by you to the builder towards construction. If possible, ask him to make a construction development agreement, if not prepared already.
Thanks
