Please suggest any good health insurance for my parents age 51 and 57.
One has diabetes and other has high BP. I understand that premiums will be very high, still i want insurance for them. It make sense to take floater cover for family covering parents.

Go for individual policies and try to get premiums from PSU (preferably United), as I believe they willl offer lower premium.

Visit medimanage.com, have heard +ve things about them on this forum, though no personal exp.

I have a 4 yr old floater mediclaim for my parents of similar age from ICICI Lombard. They told me that next year, the policy will be divided into two individual policies considering the age.

So, in your case, even if you get a floater policy, sooner or later it will be divided into individual.

I would suggest you individual policies from PSU (preferably United Insurance) as I believe, premuim will be slightly lower.

  3. Dear Sunny, instead of opting for a family floater plan, please purchase individual policies for both parents. Age as well as health condition is not in the right spot so be ready to pay a huge prem. as well as no cover for next 3-4 years for existing illness.

    Thanks

    Ashal
