I had one FFH(Family Floater Health) Policy from icici lombard which was expiry date 23rd July-12.on the very same day morning I met an accident and Hospitalized and informed to ICICI Lombard Customer care.Firstly they denied and informed me that my policy is expired, I insisted and conveyed that It would expired at 12.00 O’Clock in the night.
I visited to Hospital and asked them about the Claim process of ICICI Lombard.I am also having Star health policy from my compay.
The hospital authority confirmed me that Star is the best in Claim settlement than Lombard.
So,I did not approached to lombard.
On 29th July-12 lombard Renewal Department contacted me and convinced me that all Pre & post Hospitalization would be covered & I can claim, so I renewed the Policy for two years.
After that I contacted to customer care they have rejected my requested saying that my case is not surgical so it would not cover.
If it would be surgical cases then after 4 policy year I can Claim.
I tried to contact to customer care again to cancell my policy, but it was not connected, so I send them mail on 1st August-12,to cancell my policy and refund my whole debited amount from my credit card.
Now, they are saying that, I have to pay 25% as a cancellation charge for first year Premium amount.
kindly help me to get back whole amount without any deduction of cancellation charge.
