  2. Dear Pritesh, as time is running out, please purchase a term cover right now & invest the remaining amount into PPF if account is already running. In case PPF acct. is not there, please invest in your VPF.

    Thanks

    Hello Ashal,

I am unable to post query in the forum. After updating the question, it shows blank. Hence asking the same over here….

I am looking to invest Rs.12000/- lumpsum amt. to save tax for current financial year.

Should I go ahead and open PPF a/c?
Invest in Mutual fund or tax saving ELSS?
    Opt for VPF?
    Buy term insurance?

I haven’t invested anything in the above mentioned schemes.

Need your guidance on the same. Kindly advice.

    Thanks & Regards,
    Pritesh

  4. Dear Pritesh, to know about RTI for PF, please search for an article written by dear Manish in the main site.

  5. Dear Pritesh, please file an RTI to know the exact amount & basis of calculation of that amount if you are in doubt.

    Thanks

    Ashal

      Thanks Ashal…:-) I’ll do that.
Is there any prescribed format to file an RTI? Or can I mentioned it the same way as above…

      Thanks & Regards,
      Pritesh

  6. Dear Pritesh, what’s the query?

    Thanks

      Hello Ashal,

May be due to techincal issue I was unable to post the query. Please find below the same:

I have applied for the transfer of my PF amt from previous employer to the current employer by submitting Form 13 quite a long time back. Also I registered a complaint through EPFiGMS as it was getting delayed. I have received a mail from them stating “Tr. of PF from XX to XX settled for Rs. 42102/- vide chq.no. xx dt 11/12/2012.”

I think the amount that is transferred is to the new PF a/c is very less than the expected or maybe I am calculating in a wrong way. Kindly help me in it.

Total Tenure with previous employer: 46 months
      Date of leaving: 12/03/2011
Employee PF contribution: Rs. 528/- each month (from 1st month till end)

As per my estimate My PF accumulation should be more than Rs.48000/- without considering any interest on it, assuming Employer contribution is same as Rs.528 (including the Pension part). Then I suppose I should have received more than Rs. 42102/- into my new PF a/c.

Need your guidance on further course of action from my end.

Please let me know in case you need any other information.

      Thanking you in anticipation.

      Thanks & Regards,
      Pritesh Vora
