Pros and Cons of investing in International Equity Fund?

Hi All,

What are the pros and cons on investing in international equity funds like ‘ICICI Prudential US Blue Chip Equity’, ‘Franklin Asian Equity’, ‘FT India Feeder Franklin US Opportunities’ etc.

What are the things to check before starting an investment in International Equity.

    Dear Siva, invest in any of the 2 funds. Please look at the impact of Rs. movement against USD and try to understand what I meant.

    Dear Hemanth, the biggest risk in international fund is currency conversion rate. With out earning any actual return, due to currency fluctuation alone, your fund can show either positive or negative return. If you can digest this, please invest in International Eq. funds. From taxation point of view, International Eq. funds are treated as debt funds.
