Process of closing Demat account when de-listed shares are there?

POSTED BY Ankush Pol ON April 14, 2014 1:42 pm COMMENTS (2)

I have Demat(ICICI Direct) account which I am not using at all for last 2-3 years and paying annual charges 🙁  . In this account I had purchased penny stock which is de-listed now. Also using this account I had purchased IDFC infra bond in 2010.

Now I think I should close this DEMAT account and save money on annual charges at least. What is the process to take it further?

Dear Ankush, please open another demat account and transfer your holdings there. Once the ICICI demat account is empty, you may apply for closure of the account.

    Thanks
