   any branch? I dont think that is correct. PPF in ICICI bank can be opened only at the designated branches approved by GOI to operate PPF accounts. However, the application form can be submitted in any branch. Correct me if I am wrong

      correct. Any ICICI branch will accept the application form. But, PPF will be opened in specific branches only. I opened my PPF account last week with ICICI.
      They tried to make me buy a ‘Highest NAV Guaranteed plan’. I manged to escape. So, thats a warning to anyone going to ICICI branch.

         Ha ha ha. Same in all branches. I visited ICICI bank to get a DD recently and They also tried to sell me a guaranteed return insurance plan. Irritating but its OK as long as one doesn’t falls in the trap considering the host of high quality services ICICI bank provides. PSU banks are pathetic and you will be humiliated.
