  1. Dear Amit, how did you come to know that 1Cr. figure is enough for your retirement? any mathematical calculation or it’s just your comfort no.?

    thanks

    Ashal

  2. TheZionView says:

Why 6 Mutual Funds? and Why not 3
    Keep on this
    HDFC Top 200 – 1000/- PM
    IDFC Premier Equity (A) – 3000/- PM
Canara Robecco Tax Saver (G) – 1000/- PM

You can put this money in above 3 funds
HDFC Balanced Fund – 2000/- PM
    UTI Opportunity – 2000/- PM
    DSP BR TOP 100 (G) – 2000/- PM

LIC policy you decide is it worth or not

20000 for stocks? Are you going to play trading or gonna investing if investing have you learnt enough direct stock buying is not everyone cup of tea. it needs atleast 10 hours a week of your time.So if you just wanna play gamble i have no comments,if not then learn and then start it.

Is the future EMI amount assumed in the calculation..try calculating the actual interest rate +2% for EMI as buffer.

MOST IMPORTANTLY do you have Emergency Fund in place? If not stop all SIP and other investment and create one.

15 lac home loan for 20 years. just 6K EMI ?

    1. Amit Agarwal says:

@Karthik, i took only 6 lac from bank out of 15 lac as per builder demand till now, it will be come up to 15 lac soon as builders demands again… 🙂

  4. Dominic Prakash says:

I would also go with Biswa’s suggestion on LIC.

Better stop/quit CR Tax Saver. Your insurance premium, PPF and EPF should cover your tax part.

  5. Biswa Singh says:

I think your portfolio is good and you will achive your goals easily.

For your shrot term goal to buy a car please have shot term debt fund. Better surrender your LIC policies and invest that amount somewhere elwse or use it to buy the car. I dont see any reason for it if you have term insurance.

You can have 50L more term insurance from some different insurer. Please increase SIP little bit more on HDFC top 200.
