Dear Pankaj,
Its good to know that you wish to buy a term insurance policy. Term Insurance plans are in huge demand as not only are they affordable, but also one of the simplest forms of insurance to secure your family.
There are a few things you should consider before choosing a term plan:
1. Claims performance
2. Service reputation of the brand
3. Convenience offered in terms of medical checkups, online sign up/ payments and services
You may consider ICICI Pru iCare, an online term plan from ICICI Prudential Life Insurance. ICICI Pru iCare has been chosen by consumers as “Product of the Year 2012” in the Life Insurance Category based on a survey of over 30,000 people by Nielsen.
This easy to purchase online plan allows you to get a cover of upto 1 crore without any medical tests. This makes it very easy and quick to get protected.
ICICI Prudential Life Insurance has a healthy claims record as cited in the following news articles http://bit.ly/HejDZA and http://bit.ly/HTbw7S.

hi Ashal, I have two priority:
1. To keep investing some amount for the investment purpose
2. to cover the risk of financial loss of your family in your absence
For the first priority, i want you to look over my portfolio and let me know your update.
For the second priority, please suggest the best Term Policy in respect of low cost and best settlement ratio.
Thanks for your update.

Dear Pankaj, for insurance needs the online plans of the insurers as mentioned above are good. I do not which insurer is offering online plan in your city hence can’t comment on the part of your query, which insurer to go with. Regarding portfolio, IPRU policy, & Jeevan Saral & Jeevan Anand should be surrendered right now.
Regarding MFs, HDFC Top 200 & Quantum Long Term eq. fund should be there in your portfolio. Yes just 2 funds.
Thanks
Ashal
hi Ashal,
I am open with the Term cover as i have already mention in my question above.
So can you first look over my portfolio and then let me know if any modification/addition is required?
Also let me know which Term policy is best in respect of “cost and cover”?

Dear Pankaj, what should be your priority, to cover the risk of financial loss of your family in your absence or to readjust your portfolio? That’s why I discussed only term plan. Many insurers are offering online term covers now a days which are very cheap. Aegon Religare, Aviva, Kotak, Metlife, Bharti, HDFC, ICICIPru…..
These are merely names & not the order of preference. Please check from the individual co. site, which policies are available in your city & opt accordingly.
Thanks
Ashal
Dear Pankaj, are you comfortable with online term cover or not?
Thanks
Ashal
