   Dear Suresh, as you want to save & invest for your retirement, there is no requirement that you think for products only containing words ‘retirement’ or ‘pension’ are worth of your money. Your choice should be to create a large corpus for your retirement. Once a corpus is in place in your sunset days, you may plan to receive income from that corpus effectively.

   Even in case of NPS, as on date, no clarity is there that who ‘ll pay the pension & at what rate?

   The range of instruments starts from PF & PPF & goes to MFs, Bank FDs……..
