I have done a part payment of my HDFC home loan on 11th November 2014 but HDFC bank is updating my EMI on 7th of Jan 2015.

My EMI date is 7th of every month.

I want to know how much acceptable delay is there in reflecting the updated EMI from bank side?

Bank has not updated my 7th Dec 2014 EMI. Means they are charging the interest based on the OLD EMI. Which I think is illegal.

Does any one know about the RBI guideline on this issue??
