Non advised in nature: What does it mean for mutual funds

When I start an SIP through citibank, I have to accept the terms and conditions. One of the terms says:
“Yes, I / We hereby agree and accept that all transactions concluded through the Citibank Online Channel will deem to be non advised in nature”

What does non-advised in nature mean?

  1. Ajay says:

My understanding is “You have selected the product on you own and the bank did not advise you or force you to buy it.” Covering them up, just in case someone wants to sue them for mis-selling.
