Need Help to Decide on an Old property

Hi,

We have a property i.e. house in a old place. The place is not on main road. Its a house with one room on the roof as well. So basically there are 3 rooms on the ground floor and 1 on the first with attached let bath.

The house is in a small town where rent and all also not good. So we are not able to decide on what should we do with that property.

    Dear Ashal,

I am not inclined towards the option to sell it. The place at very slow rate but developing and I am hopeful property cost could rise little more because just few months back this town has been connected by railway. My question is what are the good options in this situation ? Should I right away sell it? or putting on rent would be wiser option??

  2. Dear Tikam, you are not getting good rent, you are not ready to sell, then how can you make any use of this property? By the way, it seems you are not living in Tikamgarh, if this is the case, why do you not want to sell & invest elsewhere? Any logic?

    thanks

    Ashal

A wild thought – considering that in India one always has the risk of losing a property to illegal/forceful occupancy when not under constant surveillance/care, is it possible to convert it to something like a cabin/rest-house? Depending on the location (and some marketing) it could offer some nice local experience to many outsiders and travelers.

It’s in Tikamgarh, MP. The city is not very much developed but recently a railway station is started there in this city.. Rent and all are not good there. Actually I am more interested in not selling it but to make use of it in someway. What are the good options I may choose?
