I fail to understand why you would want Direct Investing on recommendations from others. If you cannot analyse companies, it is better not to do it.

Use 2 funds, and invest in them.

Your fund selection is okay. But why you would like to invest in direct equity? Have you made any attempt to educate yourself about the direct equity investing? or currently learning??

It beats me how you would be ready to invest 40% of your monthly investment amount based on the recco of unknown forum member without any track record to show off???

The best thing i would suggest
    1. First learn the basics of equity investing
    2. shortlist and analyze set of companies
    3. Finally ask specific questions regarding the stock in the forum which u dont understand

    Regards
