NCB transfer from previous owner to new owner

Hi,

I bought a used car. I am trying to figure out if the car’s previous owners insurance NCB would be transferable to me when I try to renew the policy. Please advise.

    Dear Anurag, NCB is meant for the good driving habits of the owner of the vehicle not for the vehicle itself. Hence NCB is non transferable.

    No. NCB stays with the person. He earned it due to his good history..
