I have a query.I would like to again start an SIP for Child Education.I would like to start with 5000/- per month with duration around 17 years. I have selected two funds in both categories(Large Cap as well as Small and Mid Cap).
In Large Cap,I have confusion between HDFC Top 200 and ICICI Prudential Focused Bluechip Equity Fund, what should I choose? and Could you suggest me any better fund(including Balanced Funds) than these Twos?
In Small and Mid Cap,I have confusion between SBI Emerging Businesses and Mirae Asset Emerging Blue chip, what should I choose? and Could you suggest me any better fund(including Balanced Funds) than these Twos?
I have a PPF Account and I would like to club these funds with PPF(for re-balancing purpose).
P.S. I have adequate term cover worth 50 Lacs from HDFC Life  and 40 Lacs from my company.

Dear Ashok, in general rebalancing means you are switching money from one asset class to another class and back. Now PPF is from debt class. Yes you can invest from Eq. to PPF but even here is the limitation, you can not invest more than 1L Rs. in a year. The withdrawal is a different question in itself and several T&C are involved for your withdrawal.

    Thanks

Yes, I was thinking about it as well. But I read somewhere we can do it with PPF as well, I know we can’t withdraw money from PPF at anytime, but is it possible to Rebalance it?
