hi everyone, my age is 24 and i want to invest 6000Rs per month for the next 10 years in mutual funds through SIP. I am already investing in PPF, RD and LIC. so i thought of investing in Equity funds. i am really confused in selecting the funds. After some analysis, i decided to invest in UTI oppurtunities fund, ICICI pru focused bluechip fund (large cap)and Reliance equity oppurtunities fund (medium and small cap).. however, i also found SBI emerging business and hdfc top200 funds interesting.. suggest me the changes to be made to attain better portfolio. thanks in advance..

  1. Dear Srinivas, Thanks for the clarification.

    Thanks

  2. Dear Srinivas, the problem with you – when I’m trying to ignite your own power – your own brain, you are taking refuge in the sentence – i’m naive. Actually the under current of your sentence is – I want to remain like that only.

My intention for counter questioning to you was to help you to decide on your own what is good for you. Please check for my prev. posts here in the forum & you ‘ll come to know about my working style. You may not like it but that’s how I want to help you.

    Thanks

Dear Ashal, i simply disagree with your comment
“Actually the under current of your sentence is – I want to remain like that only.”
That is your perception and it’s not my fault.

  3. Dear Srinivas, a spoonfeed answer – Please invest in IPru FBCF & SBI EB.

    thanks

Dear Ashal, thank you for your suggestion. It may be spoon-fed for experts like you but i am still in learning stage. It will take some time to get acquaint. Once again, thanks for your suggestion.

      Regards,

Dear Ashal, i already mentioned that i am naive to mutual funds. how can i answer regarding those funds. Meanwhile, if you consider Endowment plans which comes under insurance+investment category, there is no problem in writing as investing in LIC.

    thanks

  5. Dear Srinivas, in that case my direct counter query to you – in this same forum people are questioing for future of HDFC Top 200 & HDFC Prudence? How ‘ll you take the same thing if happens to your choice of funds after you enter in?

In your original query, you put PPF, RD & LIC in single sentence & that’s why I clarified.

    Thanks

    Ashal

Dear Ashal, it means i have already taken term insurance for my life cover from LIC. Nothing other than that.. The term ” investing in LIC ” may not be appropriate but i think any1 can easily understand by reading the statement. i would appreciate if u ans my question regarding portfolio.

    thanks

  7. Dear Srinivas, can you explain a bit, ” I’m investing in LIC”?

    thanks

    Ashal
