Mutual Fund- Baroda Pioneer Mutual Fund- restriction

Baroda Pioneer Mutual fund has the following restriction:
  • If the dividend under Pay out option is less than or equal to Rs.500- than it will be by default be reinvested.
         (ref. Baroda Pioneer ELSS 96 Plan)
The querry is 
whether such restriction is permissible?

  1. Dear Premji, yes such type of restrictions can be imposed for small amounts. My personal view, if your lockin period is over, please redeem your money. The reinvested dividend within lockin period ‘ll not be available for withdraw.
