ONHi,
I am naive in MF and learning about it. I am holding demat with Motilal Oswal. They usually advise me on delivery. When enquired about open ended MF, they said they have recently launched ”motilal oswal most focused 25 fund” with NAV of around 10 Rs now.
They said they will be investing in blue chips. Can I commit to this for a term of 15 years? What are its pros and cons?

Dear Jaiganesh, for my personal money, I w’d prefer a diversified one. Regarding your believe, please do understand that the same fund has 2 options –
1. Regular – when you are using services of a broker or agent like your Motilal Demat account or fundsindia or sharekhan…….
2. Direct – when you are investing directly to AMC or the registrar (CAMS or Karvy).
Please check the expense ratio in both cases and try to figure it out on your own, what is beneficial to you.
Thanks
Ashal
Thanks Anshuk and Ashalanshu
@Ashalanshu,
I believe this is through AMC only. Can you clarify whether focused fund is advantageous when compared to diversified one (HDFC Top 200)? Both being open ended equity schemes.
Dear Jaiganesh, instead of using Motilal’s Demat, please opt to invest in the same fund directly with Motilal AMC. You ‘ll save a lot in expense ration over these 15Y.
Thanks
Ashal
